Hot-and-Hunky Sausage and Peppers with Grimaldi’s Arrabbiata Sauce

Juicy sausage links are seared to perfection, then tossed with sautéed onions and colorful bell peppers in a bold, Grimaldi’s Arrabbiata sauce. This one-pan dish brings together robust flavors, all served family-style straight from the skillet. Pair it with crusty bread for an easy-to-make, crowd-pleasing meal that’s perfect for casual get-togethers or a hearty weeknight dinner. Ingredients

  • Italian mild sausage links (2 per person)
  • 2 Yellow bell peppers
  • 2 Red bell peppers
  • 2 Green bell pepper
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 2 Tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 jar of Grimaldi’s Arrabiata Sauce
  • Crusty loaf of bread. (Sourdough, Italian, etc.)

Directions

  1. Wash and dry peppers and onion. Slice (julienne) the vegetables on a cutting board and set aside.
  2. Heat up a cast iron skillet. Once skillet is hot place sausage links in it and start cooking. Cook for about 3-4 min per side allowing sausage to get some color and cook through. Once fully cooked set aside.
  3. In the same skillet add olive oil and allow to heat up. Once hot add all veggies, cook until translucent and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet add 1 jar of Grimaldi’s Arrabiata Sauce and heat up. Once hot add sausage and veggies and allow flavors to marry.
  5. Serve in the same skillet family style and allow people to make sandwiches or enjoy as is with the bread.
